Did you know that you can easily create Schema Markup for your content using AI?

With All in One SEO's AI features, you can generate Schema Markup automatically within your content to increase your presence in search results.

Getting Started with AIOSEO AI

The AI features in All in One SEO rely on a credits system. You can buy blocks of credits, or use credits you receive as part of your subscription for All in One SEO Pro.

To get started, you'll need to verify that you have AI credits. To do this, click on General Settings in the All in One SEO menu and scroll down to the AI Credits section on the License tab.

AI Credits section shown on the License screen in All in One SEO

You can click on the Get AI Credits button to purchase a block of Pay-As-You-Go credits, or you can click on the Connect Account button if you already have an account for AI credits.

If you activate a license key for All in One SEO Pro, then you'll see that your account is automatically connected and the number of credits available to you.

In the screenshot above, you can see that we have 150,000 credits remaining out of 200,000 credits.

For more information about the AI credits system for All in One SEO and how to manage your account, please check out our article on Buying and Managing Credits for the AIOSEO AI Features.

Now that we've verified that we have some AI credits, let's check out the FAQs feature.

To get started, edit any content and scroll down to the AIOSEO Settings section, then click on the Schema tab.

You'll see two options:

  • Smart Schema – All in One SEO analyzes the content of your page or post and recommends an appropriate schema. You don't need to type a prompt.
  • Prompt-Based Schema – You describe the schema you want (for example, FAQ or HowTo), and AIOSEO AI creates the Schema Markup to match your instructions.

Generating Schema with Smart Schema

Smart Schema is a good choice when you want AIOSEO to analyze your content and suggest the best schema without extra input from you.

To do this, select Smart Schema on the AI Schema tab, then click the Generate Schema button.

Notice that the Generate Schema button shows the number of AI credits that will be used to generate the schema markup.

You'll also see the number of credits you have, along with the amount remaining, in the bottom left-hand corner of the window.

After generation completes, you will see the suggested schema with checkboxes to the left.

Click the arrow to the right to expand each schema to view the actual markup.

You'll see a Test with Google button that you can click to text the generated schema for errors. This will open a new browser tab and automatically test the schema in Google's Rich Results Testing tool.

Use the checkboxes next to each schema to select which schema you want to apply, and click the Add Schema button to save your new schema.

If you want to regenerate the schema using the Prompt-Based method, click the Regenerate Schema button to return to the previous screen.

Generating Schema with Prompt-Based Schema

Prompt-Based Schema is ideal when you already know what you want—for example, FAQ schema for a list of questions, or a specific structure for a product or how-to article.

To do this, select Prompt-Based Schema on the AI Schema tab, then enter your prompt describing what schema you'd like All in One SEO to generate for you in the Your Prompt field. Then, click the Generate Schema button.

Notice that the Generate Schema button shows the number of AI credits that will be used to generate the schema markup.

The SEO Checklist helps you set up your site correctly after installing All in One SEO, identify and resolve important SEO issues, and discover key features of the plugin.

You can work through a list of prioritized tasks, track your progress, and improve your site for better search engine rankings—all in one place.

Where to Find the SEO Checklist

You can open the SEO Checklist by clicking on General Settings in the All in One SEO menu, and then clicking on the SEO Checklist tab.

General Settings menu item in the All in One SEO menu

You will then see the SEO Checklist with your tasks and progress.

SEO Checklist tab in the All in One SEO General Settings menu

Understanding the SEO Checklist

At the top of the SEO Checklist screen you’ll see:

  • Progress bar – The progress bar shows how far you've progressed through the SEO Checklist tasks. For example, “1/13 Tasks Completed — You've still got work to do!” so you know how many tasks you’ve finished and how many are left.
  • Incomplete | Completed – Switch between these tabs to see the tasks you still need to do and the tasks you’ve already completed.
  • Bulk Actions – Use the Bulk Actions dropdown and Apply button to perform actions on multiple selected tasks.
  • Priority filter – Use the Priority dropdown and Filter button to filter the tasks by priority (e.g. High, Medium, Low, Optional).

Below this you'll see the Tasks table that shows a list of the tasks to be completed, with columns for Title, Priority, Time Estimate, and Actions.

Each task has a checkbox on the left so you can select it for bulk actions.

Under the Actions column you'll see the action you need to perform on each task. There's a View Explanation link that you can click on to display a description of the task and what you should do, and a Dismiss link you click to move the task to the Completed tab without taking any action.

Action links shown in the Action column of the SEO Checklist

How to Use the SEO Checklist

First, open the SEO Checklist by going to All in One SEO » General Settings and click the SEO Checklist tab.

SEO Checklist tab in the All in One SEO General Settings menu

In the Tasks table, look at the Priority column. Tasks marked High (shown with a red dot) are the most important. You can use the Priority drop down to filter on just the High priority tasks.

Complete the action for each task. Click on the View Explanation link if you want to display a description of the task and what you should do.

Action links shown in the Action column of the SEO Checklist

Click the Dismiss link if you want to move the task to the Completed tab without taking any action.

Next, work through Medium (orange dot) and Low (blue dot) priority tasks.

Continue through the checklist until all of the tasks have been completed.

You can revisit the SEO Checklist at any time by returning to this screen. You can also see your progress in the SEO Checklist widget on the AIOSEO Dashboard (shown once you've completed the Setup Wizard).

Notes

  • Returning an empty string from a title filter will exclude that post or term from appearing in the LLMS files.
  • Returning an empty string from a description filter will omit the description.
  • The list of use cases above is not exhaustive.

We often get asked if there's a license key needed to use our Broken Link Checker service and plugin.

The answer is that Broken Link Checker doesn't use license keys. Instead, it's linked to your account.

Our Broken Link Checker is a free plugin that uses our servers to scan your site for broken links. You can sign up for a free account by following the steps in our Broken Link Checker documentation here.

Once you've signed up for an account, you can connect to it within the Broken Link Checker plugin, and then start using the plugin. No license key is needed.

This guide will help you to troubleshoot issues with the AIOSEO Details not loading on the Posts / Pages screens.

The AIOSEO Details column displays the TruSEO score, Headline Analyzer score, SEO Title, Meta Description, Index Status, and Link Assistant details for each post or page.

Occasionally, the information in the AIOSEO Details column may not load, and instead will display a pulsing circle as shown below:

When this happens, we recommend following the troubleshooting steps below:

  1. Go to Plugins > Add New and install and activate the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin.
  2. Go to Plugins > Installed Plugins and click on Troubleshoot below the All in One SEO plugin.
Enable troubleshooting mode link of Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin
This will temporarily disable all other plugins and switch to the default WordPress theme only for your user only, without impacting what your visitors see.
  3. Check if you’re able to reproduce the problem again on the Posts or Pages screen.
  4. If you're no longer able to reproduce the problem, activate your theme and check again.
  5. If you're still unable to reproduce the problem, activate your plugins one at a time, checking to see if the problem can be reproduced.
  6. If you can reproduce the problem after activating a specific plugin, then you've found the cause of the issue.
  7. Once you’re done troubleshooting, deactivate and delete the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin.

You can also follow the steps in our How to Open the Browser Error Console article here.

These troubleshooting steps should provide the cause of the problem.

You can reach out to our Support team via the submit our Basic question form on our Contact page here. Please include all of the details from the troubleshooting steps performed above.
